Qleisure offers children aged 14 - 17 years
a mini pro kart grand prix.
The session starts with a NKA safety video briefing followed by further safety instructions from a NKA marshal. The talk includes how to drive the kart in the current weather conditions, how to take the bends, breaking points and drivers line. The kids are then kitted up with safety equipment; gloves, helmet and overalls.

Next is a practice session, this is usually for a fair amount of time so the
kids can get used to the track and go karts. If further tuition and
instruction is needed after practice laps it will be given.
Now the real fun starts, engines are running, hearts are pumping, the lights turn green and their off! Straight into the famous 'Hells Drop' the races have started. Each child gets 3 race heats and their points, lap times and position are all displayed on the computer screens. After the 3 heats the points are totalled then its time for the final, this is the race were the winner takes all.

The races take part on the small track, the same karts are used as we would
for the adult sessions. Capable of up to 45mph this is not for the faint
hearted, safety is of paramount and children that cant compete at this level
will not be able to take part in the races.
The children will be outside and during the winter and wet weather the track becomes cold and very wet. We recommend the children wear appropriate footwear and clothing i.e. trainers, long sleeves and trousers. Gloves, overalls, and crash helmet are supplied.
